Small Harness adds OpenRouter Fusion support
Small Harness, an open-source terminal user interface (TUI) for local LLMs, has added dedicated support for OpenRouter's Fusion routing. The integration allows terminal-based agents to run parallel multi-model deliberation and synthesis without requiring high-end local hardware.
Developer tools are rapidly shifting towards compound, multi-model architectures to bypass the limitations and high costs of single frontier LLMs.
- –Integrating OpenRouter Fusion enables a lightweight local terminal client to achieve state-of-the-art reasoning without needing high-end local GPUs.
- –This represents a broader trend of abstracting multi-model orchestration directly into CLI workflows and local agent environments.
- –The cost-to-performance ratio of routed panels is increasingly outcompeting monolithic models for complex reasoning tasks.
