JetKVM ATX Board Controls PC Power Remotely
The JetKVM ATX Extension Board connects to a motherboard’s front-panel header, enabling remote power, reset, and status monitoring while preserving the case’s physical buttons and LEDs. It can also pass 5V power to JetKVM through a single extension cable.
This is a small but practical upgrade that solves the part of remote KVM setups software cannot: physically starting or resetting a machine that is offline. Its usefulness is strongest for homelabs, remote workstations, and unattended developer systems, though installation remains wiring-heavy and it does not support JetKVM Mini.
- –Dual headers preserve normal case-button operation alongside remote control.
- –Long-press power control can force a shutdown when the operating system is unresponsive.
- –Pass-through power reduces cable clutter by powering JetKVM through the extension board.
- –The open-source RP2040 firmware exposes power, reset, and drive-activity monitoring.
- –Buyers should verify compatibility: the board currently supports the original JetKVM platform, not JetKVM Mini.
