Impeccable upgrades AI harness design
Impeccable is an open-source design skill pack for AI coding tools that expands Anthropic's original frontend-design skill with deeper UI guidance, anti-patterns, and 17 reusable commands. It is catching attention because it turns vague “make it prettier” prompts into a sharper design vocabulary that works across tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI, Copilot, Kiro, and Antigravity.
// ANALYSIS
This is prompt engineering for frontend taste, packaged in a way developers can actually reuse instead of rediscovering on every generation.
- –The project’s core insight is right: AI-generated UIs often collapse into the same clichés, so explicit design language and anti-patterns matter as much as model quality
- –Seven reference areas spanning typography, color, spacing, motion, interaction, responsive design, and UX writing give it more depth than a one-file prompt hack
- –The command set (/audit, /polish, /distill, /critique, and others) makes the workflow operational, not just inspirational
- –Cross-harness support is a big reason it is spreading quickly; teams can use the same design vocabulary across multiple agent environments
- –The latest v1.2.0 update adds Kiro support plus security hardening, which suggests this is evolving from a clever repo into a maintained workflow layer
