OpenBot adds webhook-triggered routines
OpenBot routines can now start from signed webhooks, letting external services trigger an agent immediately instead of waiting for a schedule. Event filters, one-time secrets, request history, and local event handling make the feature useful for deployment and workflow automation.
This turns OpenBot from a passive scheduled assistant into a more event-driven automation layer, although its host-online requirement limits reliability for unattended production workflows.
- –External services can trigger routines after deployments, alerts, or other events
- –Signed requests and configurable event filters reduce accidental or unauthorized runs
- –Request receipts help prevent duplicate deliveries
- –Event data remains on the host, but may still reach the selected model provider
- –No cloud queue means offline hosts require the sending service to retry
