Masko Code drops desktop mascots for Claude Code agents
Masko Code is a free, open-source desktop mascot that monitors Claude Code agents in real-time. It provides immediate visual alerts for permission prompts and keyboard shortcuts to jump directly to active terminal sessions.
Adding a persistent visual indicator for background agent tasks solves the very real developer pain point of losing track of terminal sessions waiting for approvals. It mitigates constant alt-tabbing and lost context when running multiple autonomous agents. Global hotkeys (⌘1 to approve, ⌘M to jump to terminal) significantly streamline the agent workflow. Customizable mascots (including Clippy) add a fun, personalized touch to local dev environments, and being fully local and open-source (MIT license) ensures privacy and security for development work.
