OpenCode 2.0.25 adds remote pairing, policy controls
OpenCode 2.0.25 adds OpenTunnel remote pairing, Azure and AWS sign-in, Office file previews, and governance controls for MCP servers, plugins, and skills. It extends the open-source coding agent across more workflows and deployment environments.
OpenCode is moving beyond a terminal coding agent toward a governed, cross-environment development platform.
- –OpenTunnel remote pairing makes it easier to supervise or continue coding sessions from another device
- –Azure CLI and AWS profile authentication reduce friction for developers already using cloud-native workflows
- –Office previews broaden the app’s usefulness for teams working with documentation, spreadsheets, and presentations
- –Policy controls for MCP servers, plugins, and skills are important for enterprise safety and reproducibility
- –The release strengthens OpenCode’s model-agnostic, open-source alternative to closed AI coding environments
