Macroscope Adds Scoped PR Approval, Leaner Checks
Macroscope’s Approvability agent now supports onlyApprove path allowlists, limiting automatic approvals to trusted parts of a repository. Check Run Agents also inherit code-review ignore rules, skipping irrelevant files and reducing noise and compute costs.
These upgrades make autonomous code review more governable: teams can expand automation without handing an agent blanket approval authority.
- –Path allowlists provide a clear blast-radius boundary for auto-approval.
- –Shared ignore rules simplify configuration across correctness reviews and custom checks.
- –Skipping tests, JSON, and other low-value files should reduce latency and usage costs.
- –The tradeoff is missed coverage when a legitimate cross-cutting change touches files outside the allowlist.
- –Markdown-defined checks continue pushing CI policy toward readable, version-controlled agent instructions.
