FiftyOne VLM Testing Suite launches
FiftyOne VLM Testing Suite is a new open-source FiftyOne plugin for testing vision-language models with dynamic prompts and view-aware analysis inside the dataset app. It supports FastVLM, Gemini Vision, and Qwen2.5-VL, and stores outputs in the dataset for later evaluation.

This is practical multimodal tooling, not benchmark theater: it moves VLM testing into the dataset workflow teams already use.
- –Running tests against the current FiftyOne view is far more useful than bouncing between scripts and separate demo UIs
- –Storing outputs back in the dataset gives teams a lightweight path from prompt experiments to repeatable evaluation

- –The setup still depends on installing separate model plugins, so the workflow is not yet a one-click VLM workbench
