Portlivo launches Mac dev-server command center
Portlivo is a native macOS menu bar app that maps local servers to projects, commands, uptime, health, CPU, and memory. It adds one-click actions for opening, restarting, killing, tailing logs, sharing, and freeing conflicted ports.
Portlivo tackles a small but persistent developer headache: knowing what is actually running locally when terminal tabs and process lists lose context. Its strongest differentiator is combining broad local-service discovery with a private, native app and a one-time license.
- –Connects ports to projects and commands, making `lsof` and Activity Monitor far less necessary.
- –Covers Docker, Homebrew services, Laravel Herd, Valet, and common web servers.
- –Port-clash alerts, health checks, logs, QR sharing, and the `devports` CLI extend it beyond a passive dashboard.
- –Native SwiftUI, no account, no in-app analytics, and Intel/Apple silicon support keep the trust surface small.
- –The one-time early-bird price is a better fit for a focused utility than another developer subscription.
