OpenBot Runs Claude Agents Outside US
OpenBot runs Claude Code as one agent in a local, multi-agent desktop workspace across macOS, Windows, and Linux, using an existing Claude plan. It gives developers outside Anthropic’s initial Claude Duet rollout a practical way to run Claude-powered agents today.
OpenBot’s advantage is orchestration, not model access: it turns Claude Code into a switchable teammate alongside other providers. It is a useful regional alternative, but it does not bypass Anthropic account or plan restrictions.
- –Persistent workspaces, queues, shared channels, and phone access extend Claude Code beyond a single terminal session
- –Cross-provider teams let Claude collaborate with Codex, Gemini, Grok, OpenCode, or local models
- –Claude Code still requires an eligible paid Claude plan and regional availability
- –Local-first storage improves control, but agents can modify files, run commands, access networks, and control browsers
- –The PolyForm Noncommercial license makes OpenBot accessible for personal use but not fully open source by OSI standards
