OpenCode Android App Nears Testing
OpenCode founding developer Ryan Vogel says the Android app is nearly finished and is recruiting testers via replies for a private testing link. The app extends OpenCode’s mobile workflow for steering sessions and approving changes from a phone while work runs on a computer. [Official mobile page](https://dev.opencode.ai/mobile)
OpenCode is turning mobile agent supervision into a first-class workflow, not trying to cram a full IDE onto a phone.
- –Android support closes the platform gap with OpenCode’s existing iPhone beta
- –Remote session control, approvals, voice, and progress checks are more practical than on-device coding
- –Running work on the user’s own computer keeps repositories and model credentials off the phone
- –A private testing rollout suggests the Android build is close, but still likely needs real-world connectivity and UX feedback
- –Official support could outcompete community clients through tighter pairing, session state, and OpenCode integration
