Google Antigravity adds Claude Opus and Sonnet 5.5
Google Antigravity now lists Claude Opus 5.5 (thinking) and Claude Sonnet 5.5 (thinking) in its model picker, limited to paid, non-trial Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra plans.
This is a meaningful interoperability win for Antigravity, but access remains tightly gated and quota economics may matter more than model quality.
- –Developers can compare Anthropic’s frontier reasoning models with Gemini inside one agentic IDE.
- –Free, Google AI Plus, trial Pro, and Enterprise users are excluded.
- –Claude 4.6 and GPT-OSS-120B are scheduled for removal on November 2.
- –Anthropic positions Sonnet 5.5 as the faster, lower-cost complement to Opus 5.5.
- –Early user reports flag aggressive quota burn, so benchmark cost per completed task before changing defaults.
