Meta IWSDK Template Brings Prompt-Driven VR.
Meta and Vercel launched a v0 template that lets developers describe WebXR experiences in natural language, deploy them to Vercel, and open them directly in Meta Quest Browser. It includes Immersive Web SDK scaffolding plus gaze and hand input support for Meta VR Glasses. [Announcement](https://developers.meta.com/vr/blog/build-for-meta-vr-with-v0-by-vercel/)
This makes VR prototyping feel far more accessible, but generated scaffolding still leaves developers responsible for interaction quality, performance, and headset testing.
- –The template removes much of WebXR’s setup friction by preconfiguring scenes, XR sessions, deployment, and input handling.
- –Browser-based emulation enables iteration without a headset, while HTTPS deployment makes real-device testing nearly immediate.
- –TypeScript, Vite, Three.js, and the [official IWSDK starter](https://github.com/meta-quest/iwsdk-v0-template/) keep the generated project editable rather than locking creators into a visual builder.
- –The same web-to-PWA path could lower the barrier to shipping small VR utilities, prototypes, and experiments to the Meta Horizon Store.
- –The strategic win is for Vercel: v0 expands from generating websites to becoming an on-ramp for spatial computing.
