Hogwarts Legacy Gets DLSS 5 Upgrade
Hogwarts Legacy now supports NVIDIA DLSS 5 Neural Rendering on GeForce NOW Ultimate, RTX 50-series GPUs, and RTX Spark systems. The update enhances lighting, materials, shadows, and reflections while Avalanche Software preserves the game’s original artistic style.
NVIDIA and Avalanche appear to have responded to DLSS 5’s face-altering backlash with a far more restrained implementation focused on environments.
- –Developer controls tune structure, tone, skin detail, models, and masking by scene or asset
- –The biggest gains target lighting, moss, foliage, stonework, reflections, and material depth
- –Character faces look much closer to the original game than in NVIDIA’s March showcase
- –Cloud support makes the upgrade accessible without buying a new GPU, though GeForce NOW Ultimate is required
- –The real test is motion quality and performance in live gameplay, not promotional screenshots
