Google Deep Review launches publicly
Google’s Deep Review is now publicly available for rigorous feedback and verification of complex documents, evolving from its Paper Assistant Tool pilots across more than 16,000 conference submissions. It supports PDFs and plain text, offers two free reviews per day, and provides API access through a Gemini key. Google Research.
Deep Review turns AI review from an academic experiment into a practical verification workflow, though human judgment remains essential.
- –Checks mathematical claims, logical consistency, factual grounding, and related work
- –Pilot deployments across STOC, ICML, NeurIPS, and ICLR offer meaningful validation beyond a product demo
- –API access could bring document verification into drafting and CI workflows
- –Multi-file support would make it more useful for reviewing papers, contracts, and technical document sets
- –Documents are not used for model training but are stored for one year, a trade-off teams should assess before uploading sensitive work
