Terminal-code, terminal-browser gain Herdr support
The latest Herdr version now supports official plugins for terminal-code and terminal-browser, bringing VS Code, browser previews, and agent-controlled web interaction into persistent terminal workspaces. Developers can install the plugins and map their actions to keyboard shortcuts.
This is a meaningful convergence of terminal-native coding, browsing, and agent orchestration—but the Kitty graphics dependency still limits its audience.
- –terminal-code combines terminal-browser with code-server to deliver VS Code inside a terminal
- –terminal-browser lets agents inspect and control live websites through an agent-browser-compatible CLI
- –Herdr shortcuts turn these tools into repeatable workflow actions instead of isolated commands
- –SSH support makes remote UI previews especially useful for server-based development
- –macOS and Linux support is solid, but Windows and non-Kitty terminals remain adoption barriers
