T3 Code ships secure agent secrets
T3 Code’s new secret file-delivery flow lets agents use CLI credentials without exposing them in chat, transcripts, tool results, or provider logs. Credentials are stored in an owner-only file that agent commands can read and that expires after 24 hours.
This is the right security boundary for agentic coding: the agent can orchestrate credentialed commands without T3 becoming a second command runner. The tradeoff is explicit—shell-capable agents can still read or exfiltrate the secret.
- –`request_secret` returns a file path, leaving command execution inside the provider’s existing sandbox and approval model.
- –Files use restrictive permissions, leave the secret store after delivery, and are automatically swept after 24 hours.
- –The approach solves a real gap for Cloudflare, Expo, Hetzner, and R2 workflows where opaque secret references cannot feed arbitrary CLIs.
- –It keeps credentials out of the conversation and logs, but cannot protect against an agent that intentionally prints or sends the value.
- –T3 Code’s open-source, multi-agent workspace makes this a meaningful infrastructure upgrade for remote coding workflows. [Product site](https://t3.codes/)
