Orca adds Resource Manager, remote servers
Stably AI has updated Orca, its open-source Agent Development Environment, with a Resource Manager to track the CPU and memory consumption of active AI coding agents. The release also enables developers to install an Orca remote server, offloading resource-heavy agent workloads from local machines.
AI coding agents are resource hogs, and desktop Agent Development Environments like Orca are smart to prioritize performance tracking and remote execution. Running continuously, these agents are unexpectedly heavy on CPU and memory, making real-time resource visibility a necessity. Offloading these intensive workloads to a remote server offers a hybrid development experience that maintains local battery life and system responsiveness, effectively resolving the pain points of run-away agent loops.
