Hallmark hits 50k installs, teases v2
Hassan El Mghari (@nutlope) and product designer Youssef (@YoussefUiUx) announced that Hallmark, their open-source design skill built to prevent AI coding assistants from generating generic "AI slop," has reached over 50,000 installations. Based on developer feedback collected over the past several months, the team is preparing to launch Hallmark v2, which will introduce 30 new design themes to further diversify AI-generated layouts, typography, and color systems across coding environments like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex.
Developers are eager to break free from the homogenous purple-gradient aesthetic of current AI coding assistants, making opinionated design middleware indispensable.
