OpenRouter Ori Brings Grok Build Anywhere
OpenRouter’s Ori launches a one-command bridge that runs xAI’s Grok Build harness through OpenRouter, using your models, credentials, and environment without requiring Grok login. It can also install Grok Build automatically and expose OpenRouter’s catalog, including private endpoints.
Ori turns Grok Build from an xAI-specific CLI into a provider-agnostic coding surface, making it easier to compare harnesses without reconfiguring authentication.
- –Custom-endpoint mode passes an OpenRouter key only for the active run, leaving Grok configuration untouched
- –OpenRouter’s model catalog and private endpoints become available directly inside Grok Build
- –Existing Grok flags, including model selection and reasoning effort, continue to work unchanged
- –Disabling xAI telemetry, error reporting, and trace uploads improves privacy for OpenRouter-based workflows
- –The install-and-pipe shell flow is convenient, but developers should review the installer and consider the security implications of handing a third-party harness repository access
