Plannotator 0.19.14 adds visual review tools
Plannotator 0.19.14 adds a visual-explainer skill, HTML render-annotate mode, code line-range hover previews, and planning hooks. The release pushes plan review closer to a rich, interactive workspace instead of plain markdown.
This is a solid product-direction release: Plannotator is turning agent planning into something you can actually inspect, annotate, and trust.
- –`--render-html` preserves layout and interactivity, which matters if plans include diagrams, mockups, or other structured visual output
- –`file.ts:10-20` references with hover previews reduce ambiguity and make code-linked plans easier to review without context switching
- –The new hooks and PFM reminder system make planning more consistent across sessions, but they also add another layer of prompt/config complexity
- –The visual explainer skill is the most interesting piece here: it gives the planner a better native format for technical communication, not just text
- –For teams using Claude Code, OpenCode, or Pi, this is the kind of release that turns planning from an internal note into a shared review artifact
