Browser Use CLI 3.0 Goes Raw
Browser Use open-sources CLI 3.0, giving coding agents persistent Python sessions and direct Chrome DevTools Protocol control through its browser harness. The result is a smaller, faster browser-agent stack that works with real Chrome or cloud browsers.
Browser Use is betting that capable agents need fewer abstractions, not more framework glue.
- –Persistent sessions preserve browser state while cutting repeated startup overhead
- –Raw CDP access removes brittle Playwright-style translation layers
- –Six-times-smaller tooling means lower token costs and faster agent loops
- –Real Chrome support makes authenticated, user-specific workflows practical
- –Open-source distribution lets Claude Code, Codex, and other agents share one browser-control layer
