Stanford opens CS25 seminar to public
Stanford’s CS25 Transformers seminar returns for another run and is open to the public, with lectures on Thursdays at Skilling Auditorium and via Zoom. Recordings are posted afterward, and anyone can audit without enrolling.
This is less a traditional product launch than a high-visibility education release for the AI community, but it has the same distribution effect as a launch because it opens a scarce Stanford seminar to everyone.
- –Strong signal value: the speaker list and public access make this feel like a curated front-row seat to active Transformer research.
- –Broad audience fit: useful for students, builders, researchers, and founders who want signal on where the field is heading.
- –Distribution moat: recordings, Zoom access, and Discord turn a local class into an ongoing media channel.
- –Not a software product: the value is educational access and prestige, not a tool or model.
