Port Radar launches AI port manager
Port Radar is a native macOS menu-bar app that identifies localhost processes by project, explains them with on-device Apple Intelligence, and stops them with one click. It also creates public Cloudflare tunnels for local apps and is open source under Apache 2.0.
Port Radar turns the recurring “what is using port 3000?” mystery into a focused developer workflow, with AI adding context rather than replacing core system tooling.
- –Groups listening ports by project and exposes command, path, and uptime details.
- –Apple Intelligence answers whether a process is safe to stop without sending data off-device.
- –Graceful termination escalates to force quit, with confirmation and no root access.
- –One-click Cloudflare tunnels make sharing local previews dramatically faster.
- –Its biggest tradeoff is macOS-only distribution outside the App Store, required for process inspection and signaling.
