GeckIt Launches Kanban for Claude Code
GeckIt is a free, open-source desktop app that organizes Claude Code and Codex conversations across projects into a Kanban board. It runs the installed CLIs through users’ existing subscriptions, without requiring a GeckIt API key. ([Product Hunt](https://www.producthunt.com/products/geckit), [GitHub](https://github.com/anetrebskii/geckit))
GeckIt targets the real bottleneck in agentic coding: managing parallel work, not generating more code. Its value will depend on whether the board becomes a trusted control surface rather than another dashboard developers must maintain.
- –Kanban visibility makes it easier to spot sessions that are working, waiting for input, or ready for review.
- –Local execution and subscription-based authentication reduce credential and infrastructure concerns.
- –Automatic movement into review adds useful workflow structure, but human validation remains essential.
- –Cross-platform support, search, notifications, and background jobs make it more than a thin terminal wrapper.
- –The multi-agent control-panel category is becoming crowded, so GeckIt’s open-source, local-first positioning will be its clearest differentiator.
