GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM Adds 64GB Option
GIGABYTE is adding a 64GB unified-memory configuration to its AI TOP ATOM desktop AI system, available October 23, 2026. Built on NVIDIA’s DGX Spark platform, it preserves the same hardware design while offering developers a lower-memory entry point for local inference, RAG, agent, and prototype workloads.
The 64GB SKU is a sensible segmentation move: developers get GB10 and NVIDIA’s CUDA ecosystem without paying for capacity they may not need. The catch is that memory—not compute—is the central trade-off, so this is a fit and pricing decision rather than a performance upgrade.
- –It retains the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell platform, DGX OS, ConnectX-7 networking, and GIGABYTE AI TOP Utility.
- –NVIDIA positions the 64GB configuration for on-device models up to 100 billion parameters, while the existing 128GB version targets larger workloads.
- –NVIDIA Sync and ConnectX-7 provide a path to pool memory across multiple systems as workloads grow.
- –Independent testing suggests GB10 systems deliver broadly similar inference performance, making memory, storage, cooling, price, and vendor support the main differentiators.
- –It remains specialized developer infrastructure: excellent for local AI experimentation, but excessive for small models and less flexible than a general-purpose Windows desktop.
