Koru Campfire Port Clears Browser Gate
Koru’s Campfire implementation passed a 15-scenario Chromium harness covering live messaging, authentication, Turbo Frames, search, profiles, bots, and session flows. The test exposed compiler, library, allocator, and application-contract defects that curl-based benchmarks missed, while same-box comparisons showed strong HTTP throughput against Rust and .NET. The important result is not the benchmark trophy but the quality of the instrument: a real browser forced Koru and Orisha to confront correctness gaps hidden by synthetic load tests.
- –Playwright caught failures involving compiler pipeline parsing, buffer ownership, allocator discipline, and browser-visible contracts.
- –The green run recorded zero console errors and zero invalid responses across the tested application flows.
- –Uncached writes and raw request handling showed particularly large advantages over the comparison stacks.
- –Read-route gains are less conclusive because Orisha and Rust use materially different cache-hit architectures.
- –The remaining message-count race is explicitly unproven absent, making repeatability the next meaningful test.
