Immersive Web SDK 1.0 Adds Agentic XR Testing
Meta’s open-source Immersive Web SDK 1.0 lets coding agents inspect, control, and debug WebXR apps in a desktop emulator or connected Quest headset. It also adds gaze-and-pinch support for upcoming Meta VR Glasses.
IWSDK 1.0 makes immersive development feel closer to modern agentic software workflows, but the real advantage is closing the gap between generated code and device-level validation.
- –Built-in MCP tooling lets agents see scenes, simulate input, inspect engine state, and debug interactions
- –Quest testing brings agent-driven validation beyond desktop emulation
- –Three.js, ECS, physics, locomotion, spatial UI, and mixed-reality systems reduce WebXR infrastructure work
- –Gaze-and-pinch compatibility gives developers a path toward Meta VR Glasses before the hardware ships
- –Browser-first delivery keeps experiences shareable by link instead of requiring a native app install
