Cohere to Acquire AISLE After 500 CVEs
Cohere signed a letter of intent to acquire AISLE, whose autonomous security systems found over 500 previously unknown, CVE-assigned vulnerabilities across more than 100 codebases in its first year. The proposed deal would create Cohere Cyber and extend Cohere’s sovereign AI platform into vulnerability discovery, validation, and remediation.
This is a strategic capability acquisition, not just a cybersecurity tuck-in: Cohere is turning real-world vulnerability discovery into both an enterprise product and a proving ground for stronger models.
- –AISLE reportedly found all 12 vulnerabilities in OpenSSL’s January release and 18 of 24 in curl’s latest release.
- –Its team will lead Cohere Cyber, AI security research, and company-wide security operations.
- –Private, on-premises, and air-gapped deployment fits Cohere’s sovereign AI strategy and regulated customers.
- –The deal remains a letter of intent, with financial terms undisclosed.
- –Folding specialized security systems into foundation-model development could make cybersecurity a meaningful model evaluation loop.
