Dev drops 116 high-fidelity coastal physics datasets
A developer has open-sourced 116 high-fidelity datasets capturing complex coastal physics to help generative video models solve the "liquid-solid interface" problem. The zero-motion-blur footage provides the physical ground truth needed to fix shoreline rendering artifacts in AI video.
Current generative video models like Sora and Kling still struggle with complex fluid dynamics like waves crashing and water receding on sand. This dataset provides the exact physical ground truth needed to reduce flickering and geometric artifacts.
- –Features 116 datasets capturing wave-object interaction, phase transitions, and complex reflectivity
- –Shot at 1/4000s shutter speed in ProRes 422 HQ to eliminate motion blur and preserve tonal richness
