Qwen3.6 27B, 35B-A3B upend 30B models
Qwen3.6-27B and Qwen3.6-35B-A3B are the latest open-weight Qwen releases, and the 27B dense model especially posts benchmark wins that make a lot of older ~30B-class models look dated for coding and agent work. The Reddit thread is basically asking whether these checkpoints have become the new default for local and self-hosted dev use.

The hot take: for coding-first local workflows, Qwen3.6 is probably the new reference point, but "obsolete" is too strong unless your only metric is benchmark score.
