OpenCode v2.0.27 adds worktrees, safer remote
The open-source coding agent can now create and remove Git worktrees, automatically archive projects whose folders disappear, and support Vertex AI Interactions and Mistral routes. `pair --remote` also asks for confirmation before exposing the server publicly.
This is a practical infrastructure release that makes OpenCode better suited to parallel agent workflows while tightening risky remote defaults.
- –First-class worktree management reduces manual Git plumbing and isolates concurrent agent tasks.
- –Automatic project archiving keeps stale entries from cluttering project navigation.
- –New Vertex AI routes broaden provider compatibility for teams standardizing on Google Cloud.
- –Remote confirmation adds an important consent checkpoint before putting a development server on the internet.
- –The release strengthens OpenCode’s position as a flexible, self-hostable alternative to closed coding agents.
