Hark launches Handoff autonomous computer agent
Founded by Brett Adcock, AI startup Hark has announced the launch of Handoff, an AI-powered "computer use agent" designed to perform web-based tasks on a user's behalf. Unlike API-dependent tools, Handoff interacts with websites similarly to a human, navigating interfaces and clicking buttons to complete tangible tasks such as ordering from DoorDash or comparing flights.
This represents a significant step towards practical, action-oriented AI agents capable of navigating the web autonomously.
- –Demonstrates a shift from conversational AI to agents capable of executing complex web-based workflows.
- –Bypasses the need for official API integrations by directly interacting with UI elements.
- –Its reported high performance on the OM2W benchmark suggests strong capabilities in understanding and manipulating web environments.
