Google opens official MCP server hub
Google has published a central repository for its official Model Context Protocol servers, plus deployment guidance and starter examples. The repo covers both remote Google-managed servers and open-source servers for Workspace, Analytics, Maps, Cloud, and other Google products.
This is Google turning MCP from scattered one-off integrations into a more coherent ecosystem play. The real value is a canonical entry point for sanctioned servers, examples, and hosting guidance, which makes MCP easier to adopt in production.
- –Remote servers reduce the setup burden for teams that want Google integrations without self-hosting everything
- –The open-source list gives builders a starting point for Workspace, Analytics, Maps, GCP, and browser/dev tooling
- –The Cloud Run guidance makes MCP feel like deployable infrastructure, not just a local dev experiment
- –A single official repo should help normalize best practices and cut down on brittle community forks
