Delta v0.24 adds 70 language grammars
Zed’s agentic coding environment is adding Elixir syntax highlighting in v0.24, alongside support for roughly 70 languages and file formats. The update reuses language packages from Zed’s extension ecosystem.
This is a practical polish upgrade that makes Delta far more credible for polyglot teams. Broad language coverage matters when agents and collaborators move across repositories, not just when editing mainstream JavaScript or Python.
- –Adds Elixir, Java, C#, Ruby, PHP, Swift, Kotlin, Dart, Lua, SQL, and more
- –Reuses Zed’s existing extension packages instead of rebuilding language support independently
- –Improves readability for agent-generated diffs, reviews, and code discussions
- –Makes Delta more viable for mixed-language production codebases
- –Shows Zed is prioritizing foundational editor quality alongside agent collaboration
