claude-obsidian turns Obsidian vault into Claude memory
claude-obsidian is an open-source Claude Code workflow that treats an Obsidian vault as long-term, cross-referenced memory. It ingests sources into markdown wiki pages, updates links and entities, supports `/wiki`, `/save`, and `/autoresearch`, and aims to make each session build on the last without repeated recap or manual filing.
This is less a note-taking plugin and more a knowledge infrastructure layer for Claude users who want continuity across sessions.
- –Strong fit for people already living in Obsidian and Claude Code; it compounds context instead of recreating it.
- –The cross-referenced markdown approach is practical because it keeps the memory portable, inspectable, and versionable.
- –The `/autoresearch` and linting loop makes it useful beyond capture; it actively maintains vault quality.
- –Main tradeoff: it only pays off if the user is willing to adopt its vault structure and workflows consistently.
