Alchemy to ship portable agent infrastructure layers
Alchemy’s next release will add Rivet, Effect Cluster, Archil, Daytona, Modal, and E2B integrations, with Rivet and Effect Cluster deployable anywhere as swappable layers. The move expands Alchemy from TypeScript infrastructure-as-code into portable infrastructure for agent workloads.
Alchemy is betting that agent infrastructure should be composable and provider-neutral, with Effect serving as the common abstraction layer.
- –Portable Rivet and Effect Cluster layers could reduce lock-in across deployment environments
- –Archil adds persistent shared storage while Daytona, Modal, and E2B cover isolated compute and sandboxing
- –The release targets a complete agent stack: orchestration, storage, execution, and deployment
- –The ambition is compelling, but consistent behavior and documentation across providers will determine whether this feels like a platform or merely an integration catalog
