OpenCode Gets Claude Subscription Workaround
A community plugin restores Claude Pro/Max subscription access in OpenCode 2 by importing existing Claude Code credentials, without requiring a separate API key. OpenCode’s documentation says Anthropic prohibits these subscription plugins, making this an unofficial workaround.
This is a compelling developer escape hatch, but it is not an official reauthorization—users trade API costs for meaningful account and policy risk.
- –Imports credentials from macOS Keychain or Claude’s credentials file and refreshes them automatically.
- –Gives OpenCode users access to Claude’s subscription economics inside a model-agnostic coding agent.
- –OpenCode 2 requires the newer `plugins` configuration key; OpenCode 1 users must pin an older plugin release.
- –Anthropic may revoke tokens or suspend accounts using third-party subscription access.
