ADE Adds Resource-Aware Agent Routing
ADE now reports CPU and memory availability across machines on an account, routing new agents to the host with the most capacity. The update strengthens its pitch as a local-first, cross-device workspace for parallel AI coding.
Resource-aware scheduling is a practical upgrade for developers running agents across laptops, desktops, and servers.
- –Prevents work from piling onto one overloaded machine while other hosts sit idle
- –Makes ADE’s multi-machine orchestration more useful as parallel agent workloads grow
- –CPU and memory are useful signals, but stale telemetry, disk pressure, GPUs, thermals, and battery state may still affect placement
- –The feature keeps execution close to the code and provider sessions, avoiding a separate cloud scheduler
- –As an open-source project, ADE could eventually expose placement policies for power users and self-hosted deployments
