NVIDIA unveils RTX Spark AI superchip
Unveiled at Computex 2026, the NVIDIA RTX Spark is an Arm-powered laptop superchip combining a Grace CPU and Blackwell GPU via NVLink-C2C to deliver 1 petaflop of local AI performance. Built in collaboration with Microsoft and MediaTek, the platform supports up to 128GB of unified memory to run local AI agents and AAA games on highly efficient Windows on Arm devices starting in Fall 2026.
Nvidia is staging a massive coup in the Windows PC market by bypassing traditional x86 and competing Snapdragon X architectures with a highly integrated CPU-GPU powerhouse that elevates Arm-powered laptops to true gaming and AI workstations.
* Unified Memory Hegemony: By introducing up to 128GB of unified memory via NVLink-C2C, Nvidia makes running local LLMs and agentic workflows viable on a laptop without the massive memory bottleneck of discrete architectures.
* x86's Worst Nightmare: Delivering 100+ FPS at 1440p on AAA games in a power-efficient Arm form factor directly challenges AMD and Intel in their core gaming laptop stronghold.
* Walled Garden for AI Agents: Coupling Blackwell GPUs with Windows on Arm makes Nvidia the default silicon provider for local AI agents, making Microsoft's agentic ecosystem heavily dependent on Nvidia hardware.
