Threadbear launches cross-device agent workspace
Threadbear is a free Mac workspace for running Claude Code and Codex threads, paired with an iPhone app for monitoring, replying, and approving agent actions remotely. It uses each user’s Convex deployment to sync threads across devices while agent execution remains on the Mac.
Threadbear’s sharpest idea is treating the agent harness as a persistent control surface rather than another chat window.
- –Keeps multiple coding-agent threads organized into projects
- –Lets developers approve commands and answer agents from an iPhone
- –Convex provides live synchronization without forcing users onto a shared hosted backend
- –Local Mac execution preserves access to users’ existing Claude Code and Codex subscriptions
- –Mac-only execution limits reach, but gives the product a focused reliability and privacy model
