Synara upgrades default writing model to GPT-5.6

Synara will switch its default model for commit messages, PR titles and descriptions, branch names, summaries, and recaps from GPT-5.4 Mini to GPT-5.6 Luna High. Existing installations will upgrade automatically in the next release.

// ANALYSIS

This is a sensible quality upgrade for the repetitive writing layer around AI-assisted development, where better context handling can improve polish without materially increasing cost.

  • Targets high-frequency Git workflows rather than core coding execution
  • Automatic migration removes configuration friction for existing users
  • Better-generated commit and PR text could improve reviewability and project history
  • The change reinforces Synara’s position as a local-first workspace for multiple coding agents
  • Developers should still review generated text for inaccurate scope, issue references, or misleading summaries
