MAO launches a canvas for agent teams
MAO brings Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Gemini CLI and other terminal agents into one visual workspace, letting developers wire agents together, delegate tasks and review handoffs. It runs natively on macOS, Windows and Linux, with a seven-day trial and one-time $20 license.
MAO targets the real bottleneck in agentic coding: coordination, not model access.
- –Cross-provider workflows let developers assign planning, implementation, testing and review to different agents
- –Each agent keeps its own CLI, login and provider relationship, reducing vendor lock-in
- –Persistent canvases, reusable roles and session resumption make multi-agent workflows repeatable
- –Local-first execution is attractive for privacy, though users still inherit each provider’s data-handling risks
- –The one-time price is unusually accessible compared with subscription-heavy AI developer tools
