Claude Code desktop adds preview, worktrees

This is a meaningful product update, not a cosmetic desktop wrapper. Anthropic is packaging agentic coding into a workflow that spans editing, previewing, CI follow-up, and long-running remote tasks without forcing developers to juggle separate tools.

• –Live app preview lets Claude inspect a running dev server, which closes the loop between code generation and actual UI or endpoint behavior
• –PR monitoring with CI tracking and auto-merge moves Claude Code from “write code” into post-commit workflow automation, where a lot of developer time actually disappears
• –Parallel sessions with Git worktree isolation are especially important because they make multi-task agent workflows safer and more practical on real repositories
• –The desktop app now mirrors much of the CLI’s power while lowering the barrier for developers who want approvals, diffs, and visual controls instead of pure terminal flow
• –Remote task execution and scheduled jobs hint at Anthropic’s bigger play: Claude Code as an always-on engineering agent, not just a coding assistant you manually prompt
