ADE Adds First-Class Linear Integration
ADE’s new Linear integration lets developers start local Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and other coding agents directly from Linear issues. The open-source platform keeps execution on users’ machines while syncing agent sessions, worktrees, and development context across devices.
ADE is moving the agentic development environment closer to the system of record where engineering work already begins.
- –Linear becomes an agent dispatch surface, not just a backlog
- –Local execution preserves existing subscriptions, credentials, repositories, and developer control
- –Supporting multiple agent harnesses reduces lock-in between Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode
- –Worktrees and synced sessions make parallel issue handling more practical
- –The hard problem remains governance: vague Linear tickets can still produce vague agent work
