SpaceX signs $6.3B Reflection AI compute deal
SpaceX has signed a compute agreement worth up to $6.3 billion to lease Nvidia GB300 capacity at its Colossus data center to open-source AI startup Reflection AI. Following similar compute deals with Anthropic, Google, and Cursor, the contract highlights SpaceX's aggressive expansion into the commercial AI infrastructure market.
SpaceX is aggressively capitalizing on the AI compute shortage by turning its massive data center infrastructure into a commercial offering. By renting out capacity at its Colossus data center, SpaceX offsets its massive hardware capital expenditure. A $6.3 billion compute deal gives Reflection AI the necessary scale to train next-generation open-source foundational models while positioning SpaceX as a key competitor to traditional hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
