Delta Makes Claude Code Multiplayer
Delta’s Claude Code integration lets teammates join a live session from their own Claude Code instance, sharing conversation context and unfinished work through DeltaDB. The beta adds `/delta share` and `/delta join` for handoffs before a commit.
Delta targets a real weakness in AI coding: context disappears at handoff. Turning agent conversations and worktree state into a shared thread could make pair programming and asynchronous review dramatically smoother.
- –Teammates inherit the agent’s history and current code, avoiding pasted summaries and stale diffs
- –DeltaDB links edits to the conversation that produced them, creating a richer audit trail than Git commits alone
- –Each developer keeps their own Claude Code session while collaborating on the same thread
- –Sharing code, tool output, and unfinished work raises important privacy and access-control questions for proprietary repositories
- –The open-source plugin and planned support for more harnesses could make Delta a collaboration layer beyond Claude Code
