Kosa8 launches rewindable sandboxes for AI agents
Kosa8 runs Claude Code, Codex, and other AI agents inside isolated local virtual machines with restricted file and network access. Developers can checkpoint live environments, rewind them in about a second, fork experiments, run local models, and govern MCP tool access.
Kosa8 turns agent safety from a promise into an operational control: make risky changes, preserve the entire machine, and undo failures without rebuilding the workspace.
- –Live checkpoints restore running processes and memory, going beyond what Git can recover.
- –Host-enforced network rules, credential brokering, tool pinning, approvals, and audit logs create layered agent governance.
- –Local execution and local-model support reduce cloud exposure, though hosted-model prompts still reach the provider.
- –The main limitation is that allowed capabilities remain dangerous: permitted hosts can still receive exfiltrated data, and request bodies are not inspected.
- –Its strongest audience is developers running autonomous coding agents against valuable codebases where fast recovery matters as much as isolation.
