Reachy Mini Gains Two-Wheeled Mobility
Pollen Robotics’ two-wheeled Hoverboard base turns the open-source Reachy Mini Wireless into a mobile robot controlled through joysticks, live camera feedback, or custom code. The accessory is designed for developers experimenting with embodied AI beyond the desktop.
This is more than a novelty accessory: mobility expands Reachy Mini from an expressive desk robot into a programmable physical-agent platform.
- –Two motorized wheels, battery, electronics, and anti-tip supports come integrated.
- –Compatibility is limited to Reachy Mini Wireless; the USB-powered Lite model cannot use it.
- –Developers can combine movement with Reachy Mini’s Python SDK, camera, microphones, and community apps.
- –The base is listed at €135, with first orders expected to dispatch in late January 2027.
- –The biggest opportunity is enabling low-cost experiments in navigation, teleoperation, and social robotics.
