Mintlify launches collaborative editor for teams, agents
Mintlify’s new editor adds WYSIWYG editing, slash commands, drag-and-drop media, editable navigation, live collaboration, and MCP-powered agent participation. It keeps docs-as-code workflows intact by syncing every visual edit back to Git.
Mintlify is pushing docs editing past “nice web UI” and into a shared operating surface for humans and agents. That’s a real differentiator if they can keep the visual experience simple without breaking the repo-based workflow teams already trust.
- –The WYSIWYG layer lowers friction for non-technical contributors, which matters in orgs where PMs, support, and marketing actually touch docs.
- –MCP support is the sharper angle: agents can now participate in the same authoring workflow instead of just reading the docs.
- –Live collaboration attacks the review-cycle bottleneck directly, which is useful for release notes, launch docs, and support updates.
- –Git sync and branch protections are the safety valve here; Mintlify is trying to avoid the classic “visual editor vs. source of truth” tradeoff.
- –This reads more like a product-update/expansion of Mintlify’s editor than a standalone new company launch, but it strengthens the platform’s AI-native positioning.
